Today my mom and i were baking some christmas cookies. I'm not really a baking expert, except for muffins, which i bake almost everyday. I'm quite sick of them, but they are part of my diet, so...
Here is the recipe for these quick and easy honey and cinnamon cookies.
2 teaspoons Cinnamon
550g wholemeal Flour
1 baking powder
50g dark chocolate
Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
Mix the butter, honey and cinnamon with 1 tablespoon of water. Heat and stir until all ingredients are melted (do not brew, just melt). Allow it to cool down almost to room temperature.
Add one egg, flour, chocolate and baking powder to the honey mixture. Mix until combined.
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and put it in refrigerator for half an hour.
Roll it out on a lightly floured surface until it makes 4,5 cm thin sheet.
Cut the cookies out using cookie cutters. Put them on a plate that was previously lined with a baking paper and bake the cookies for 5-6 minutes.
Spread with icing and decorate as you like.
Buon Appettite! ;)
